The Scruffs LaunchedMarch 20th, 2008 | Projects | casual game, launched, Projects, the Scruffs
We are finally launched web site for the casual game The Scruffs.
Its a very funny and interactive web site with small piece of original gameplay that implemented in site. As bonus award for winning mini-game we made some prizes.
We have made fun loading scene that entertains user and keep him at the site until loading is in progress. User can interact with the sleeping dog. Scruffy is reacting to user clicks with a lot of different emotions. More than 10 different reactions, animations and emotions were made to hold user at site. Scruffy is smiling, whistling, woofing, jumping etc…
Btw our loader was included to 39 best flash loadings by Smashing magazine article :)
Website have 4 big scenes for each menu – outside view with house, inside garage room, and 2 table scenes. We used a lot of new features to implement into website – scrolling scenes that not fits into user browser window, parallax effect with 3 layers at main scene, voiceover characters, interactive gameplay at each scene.
Main goal was making user explore whole site and get him to find all 20 bones (we are created 21 bones total – to make their life easier ;-) ).
At the info page you can find some fun things among the game info and hidden bones, you can kick fly over the table for example.
Credits page also have some fun stuff like all another page sections in website.
Hidden father character from game speaks Forrest Gump’s voice, light bulb switcher etc.
