Omg! We did it!

October 26th, 2009 | Projects | , , , ,

get ready for a journey!

More that a year ago i’ve started working at my personal website. I was working on it from time to time in between of my main work.  It was a long and hard way for everyone who’ve been involved on this project and i’m glad that its finally done ;)

I’ll briefly tell you about features of this web site.

Instead of simply showing images (like most of the ppl usualy do) i’ve made 4 different scenes for the 4 different sections of site.

menu closed

The firts one i’ve called “my world”. It’s something like “about me” but interactive, more precisely, it’s a small hidden object game.

menu mw

So, My world scene is consist of some facts about me. For example there is a “forrest gump” sitting on the bench representing my favourite actor (tome hanks) and etc.
To find this facts you should hold your mouse steady for some time over the place (object) that you think is a fact.

In the begining i’ve made this works by click but after some tests i realize that its too easy, becouse people just spam click everywhere.

Portfolio is portfolio nothing to say :P

How its made:

To show some work process ive made “how its made” section, where you can see the creation of design step by step in a simple player ;)

i’m going to add here previews for some of my interesting projects in future.
And yeah, i like fish and aquariums!))

Contacts, hm don’t even know why i’ve made this section  with a night street background ;)
the only thing i know that i wanted to make a calm quited atmosphere.

To make website more positive i’ve hided characters from some projects that ive made all
over the website.
You can find a Dog from the scruffs game website on the my world section, t-shirts from the dreft on the how its made section.

Super work on your portfolio. Having done mine a year ago I know how hard it can be around real work, and mine is a far cry from the effort you have put into yours.

Excellent work, and thanks for the spur of inspiration I needed to start my redesign! (Also, loving the shameless injection of WoW characters. I always wanted my old rogue to make a cheeky appearence!)

    All the best,
    Jack

i’m sorry but wtf?? this sort of website was business as usual 6-7 years ago before everything was web2.0 and rounded rectangles.

and still, you need 3,3 MB to load the menu? and then another 9,5 MB for “my world”?? that’s 12,8 MB just to get anything to look at on the screen!! sorry, but #FAIL.

don’t get me wrong the site is nice and all that (read the other comments for your ego) but skip the music you probably didn’t license and WORK ON YOUR LOADING TIMES!!

I gotta say I love your website. Out of all the websites I have seen in my entire life this is the best one out there. No website can touch this. From design to detail just flawless. I am a digital artist myself. However, what you have accomplished here is what I would like to become in the future. You are at the peak of your game. So how can I become your student or at least learn some of your skills? No I’m being serious. LOL

    Hi Oleg
Take a bow and listen to the applause.
As you wide screen, HD, beautifully orchestrated sound and vision work is superb.
The entrancing Beautiful Mind soundtrack is apt as your work took a lot of smart thinking and great skill to produce such an engaging piece of art.
As that is what I see, art first and amazing functionality working alongside it.
    Just Brilliant.
